One plugin.
Your BuyerCaddy API key.
Install the plugin, then connect it to your BuyerCaddy account. Choose the path that fits you.
Connect it in Claude.
- Add the BuyerCaddy plugin
Open BuyerCaddy in Claude’s plugin directory ↗, sign in if prompted, and install the plugin.
- Open the Connectors tab
On the installed plugin’s page, open Connectors, find buyercaddy, and choose Connect.
- Enter your BuyerCaddy API key
In Connect to BuyerCaddy MCP, paste your key into API key and select Connect.
- Return to Claude
Check that BuyerCaddy is connected, then start a new chat to use the plugin.

- Connect your key in Claude
Once you have your BuyerCaddy API key, follow the connection steps above.
Try your first question.
In a new Claude chat, ask BuyerCaddy to check your available credits.
Use BuyerCaddy to check my available credits.
A few things to know.
Which API key do I need?
A BuyerCaddy API key. An Anthropic API key or your Claude subscription does not replace it. If you need BuyerCaddy API access, request it here.
I installed the plugin. Am I connected?
Installation adds the plugin to Claude. You still need to open its Connectors tab and connect BuyerCaddy using your API key. Return to Claude and check the connector status before starting a new chat.
What if my key is not accepted?
Check that you copied your BuyerCaddy API key correctly and try again. If the connection session has expired, reopen Connect from the plugin’s Connectors tab. For help with your key or account access, contact info@buyercaddy.com.
What can I research with the plugin?
Explore companies and their technology stacks, find companies using specific software, and refine your research with follow-up questions. You can also check your BuyerCaddy credits and usage. Results depend on the data available through BuyerCaddy.
Do I need to set up an MCP server myself?
No. The directory plugin includes the BuyerCaddy connection. Install it and connect with your API key; you do not need to host a server or configure environment variables.
Good intelligence travels.
